Yesaya 41:1

The Lord Challenges the Nations

41:1 “Listen to me in silence, you coastlands! ¹ 

Let the nations find renewed strength!

Let them approach and then speak;

let us come together for debate! ² 

Yesaya 61:4

61:4 They will rebuild the perpetual ruins

and restore the places that were desolate; ³ 

they will reestablish the ruined cities,

the places that have been desolate since ancient times.

Yesaya 58:11

58:11 The Lord will continually lead you;

he will feed you even in parched regions. ⁴ 

He will give you renewed strength, ⁵ 

and you will be like a well-watered garden,

like a spring that continually produces water.

[41:1]  ² tn The Hebrew term מִשְׁפָּט (mishpat) could be translated “judgment,” but here it seems to refer to the dispute or debate between the Lord and the nations.

[61:4]  ³ tn Heb “and the formerly desolate places they will raise up.”

[58:11]  ⁴ tn Heb “he will satisfy in parched regions your appetite.”
